We visited during lunchtime and there was a queue of about 10 pax, which moved quickly. There were still seats inside, and the queue was present as you had to order at the counter before being seated. You will then collect your food when your number is flashed. We ordered the Signature Chicken Rice. The amount of chicken for the regular price (9.80) was very little, even if you pay extra (2) for thigh meat. I would recommend going for the upsize (4) if you would like a more substantial amount of meat with your chicken rice. I had eaten chicken rice several times at the original Chatterbox at Mandarin Orchard - the chicken rice at the Express was very average. The eatery is also high turnover, and you would feel the need to vacate as soon as you're done. Given the higher price point and the need to vacate quickly like a food court, I would recommend going to the original Chatterbox (if you like Chatterbox's chicken rice) or a cheaper option nearby.

No doubt it's cheaper than chatterbox in orchard. But for the price, size portion and taste, I would think that nearby options like the chicken rice in shenton house would be a better bang for your buck.
“High end” Chicken rice and laksa to try. It’s pricy (12-16) comparing to hawker stall of course, but much more reasonable than their original restaurant style place. And the taste good. After 12pm weekday you may expect que.
Express chatterbox chicken rice was good - though prefer the original.
5 Dec 2020, 12.30pm. Staff needs to be better educated and trained on the promotions. We asked about the ShopBack promo and the guy at the cashier was rather unhelpful saying he didn’t know how it works. Haha, funny why have a promo that the staff doesn’t even know how it works?
Good food served fast. Had the claypot chicken curry which was tasty.
The chicken rice that’s also suitable for a casual business lunch.
Tastes the same as the main Chatterbox outlet at Mandarin Orchard! The way authentic Singapore Chicken Rice tastes! A must for every visitor to Singapore!
