The only way you could have a negative experience with Lakeside Milam in Everett is you’re just not wanting to be sober or you just don’t care. I had Marti Joe for phase 1 and John for phase 2. Very loving caring people that help and they challenge you. But if you’re not willing to be sober they’re on able to help you. But if you are ready to be sober I would highly recommend Lakeside Milam Everett they’re in tensive outpatient treatment is top notch and they really care. I am a recent graduate and I have been sober and happy. What a difference Lakeside Milam has made in my life

I have had a wonderful experience at the Everett Milam office. The staff have been professional, courteous, thoughtful and very respectful. I truly credit this agency in helping me become educated and gain understanding about the disease of addiction. The structure of the program has been instrumental in helping me sustain sobriety. The one on one counselor was absolutely awesome and was very insightful in helping me on some personal issues. I did not find the staff to be “out to get your money” as some of the reviews have stated. I found Milam to have integrity and ethics in how they handled operations and the assessment process. In fact I felt very heard and like a lifeline had been extended to me to address my disease. I highly recommend this program if you or a loved one are searching for a treatment program to overcome an addiction.
John ridiculed my loved one in front of the class while she was crying, because she did not realize she needed a sponsor to pass the class portion. Tom also wrote inaccurate evaluations of her stating she had a kid (which she does not) and that her drinking issue was much worse than it is in order to suck money out of us and elongate her treatmemt. Id rather put my life in the hands of the addiction afflicted than these so-called rehabilitation specialists or whatever they call themselves. This place should be shut down ASAP!!! Let me add that the person I know that went here did NOT have a MAJOR addiction issue, she is semi emotional but that is because her meds for her neurological condition alter her emotions at times. For John to mock her AFTER she started crying tells me he probably has more problems than most of the people attending these classes and should seek help himself.
The integrity of this company is flawed. I was recommended IOP treatment by Tom solely for company revenue. I had come in for a drug assessment required by court order 3 months clean of smoking marijuana, and passed the urinalysis. Tom wrote many inaccurate things in my report in order to lengthen my treatment. That’s 2000 out of my pocket, plus 6000 more my insurance will be paying them for treatment that is clearly not needed. (more revenue for the company, assuming one will comply because it is a court order) I suggest you STAY AWAY from this company. Get your assessment elsewhere to receive an honest assessment rather than being scammed by this cash cow. Not to mention if you are not religious, their program requires you to accept a higher power in order to become sober. This makes me extremely uncomfortable and will be addressed.
Wish I could rate less than one star. I took a loved one here because he finally wanted help. They left him to die in a hospital bed for two days. Medics had transport him to Harborview for acute withdrawal and dehydration. He was one step from death. Then, they sent a bill for their services. Horrible company. Horrible people. Stay away.
