We did the lunch diner car and loved the food (especially dessert!) and great service, but the train ride itself left a lot to be desired. We only went about a mile, sat on a bridge for probably 20-30 minutes then backtracked back to the station. If we had of opted for the excursion instead of the dining I honestly would have been ticked at the lack of a real excursion and dissatisfied with the sad little train ride. It was definitely not worth the money nor would I repeat or recommend the experience.

Everyone was so friendly! A fun experience for the whole family! Our twins loved the ride! The conductor was very knowledgeable and had a great personality!

I took the tour twice so far and I really loved it. You get to learn a lot about the railway history, which carry great learnings and shocking facts about eureka. We flattened some coins under the train, which was supervised by the train conductor, and enjoyed lovely scenery which is not new to Eureka frequent visitors. I think it's great for kids, just won't recommend toddlers for this one.

Really not worth the 25 admission. The stories told by the conductor were better than the short train ride through a fairly unscenic route. I've been on several similar train rides but this one was fairly lame from a scenery standpoint and length of ride. Save your money for shopping or eating downtown. You'll be glad you did.

Me and my husband came here on our honeymoon and it was wonderful! The food was delicious, and the people were wonderful. Every interaction with any form of staff was polite, and the service was beyond good. The scenery is gorgeous, and the ride is relaxing.
