This rail yard is always extremely organized and like a well-oiled machine staff is friendly places clean

This used to be one of the best rail yards in the Chicago area, now it's one of, if not the worst. Equipment is always in bad order condition and their yard drivers continually make them worse, between slamming the chassis together and dragging tires that are locked up, as you can see in the photos, this is the way their yard drivers leave chassis. Lot S is a complete disaster, they assign 15-20 trucks to the same spot and wonder why it's so crowded or why the drivers are in the wrong spot.

If you don't know this yard good luck! Only map (sign) is past the ingate. No maps at Driver Assistance. Barely any parking there. Their complex is in an industrial area in rural Joliet, IL. and is very Truck Unfriendly outside of that. The Village of Elwood has a Weigh Station on Baseline Road next to the rail yard. Only 1 way in and out of complex. Beware!

Maybe one day I’ll get a flip...... been the only one in line here for 3 hours...... might still be here tomorrow..... even dragged the bad order over here to make it easy.... but nope my time has no value..... greatly appreciated!

It's gotten really bas since we have to wait to lift off and on almost everything. We are shorten by this at least 1 or 2 moves every day. Here you can see crane in the spot where I'm suppose to lift but no one is in there and No other crane is close by me. This is around 6 30 pm. During the day you can see driver lining up into 3 lanes for lift on. My morning lift on by itself took 2 hr. That's an average lift on in lot S
