Very friendly SCS Store. Staff very helpful without being over helpful if you know what I mean. They appear to have the right level of when to speak to a customer and when the customer wants to be left alone. I purchased a Dining Room Table/Chairs and very happy with my shopping experience - Thank you Graham! I noticed a comment about hidden cost, I did have extra to pay for delivery and building but this was explained fully to me prior to purchasing - although I do think 69 is OTT for building a table.
2 hours if my life I will not get back. Went in to buy a sofa, chair and foot stool found the one I wanted, decided to pay over 4years BIG MISTAKE! Was rejected twice for finance which was a surprise as I have just finished paying a morgage which I has never even missed one payment, have had numerous visa cards and catalogue over the years which have never been missed and all been paid on time, decided to do a credit check when I got home and found it was excellent, I feel I wasted an afternoon and the store missed out on a very good sale. THEIR LOSE.
Bought a beige carpet from Straiton SCS with new underlay but they delivered the wrong colour carpet (a dark grey one arrived). I was left with underlay and bare metal tacs for 2weeks. Took several phone calls, emails and 3 visits to the shop to get a date for my carpets to be delivered with noone from the shop getting back to me when they said they would. A new date was finally arranged but the fitter had taken the day off and noone told me. It was rearranged for 2 days later and the fitter did a very good job and I'm now pleased with my carpet. I got 100 good will gesture from the shop but I found their customer service very poor and the whole experience much more stressful than it needed to be.
