Fascinating site. Spent an enjoyable afternoon exploring the ruins and history. While the building's state of decay is a shame it gives great insight into how such estates were built. Kids loved the fountains, we enjoyed the sandwiches in the cafe.

Spent a very pleasant four hours here despite parts being closed due to COVID. Beautiful place. Nice walks through the grounds. Amazing ruins and beautiful in tact fountains, the biggest of which fires up on the hour (roughly). Staff were very friendly and gardens beautifully kept. Restricting entry to booked places meant that it was probably a lot quieter and more relaxed than usual.

Superb! What a fabulous building and an excellent job English Heritage are doing to bring it alive with a great performance. Download the app via the QR code onto your mobile and enjoy all aspects of the building and gardens. This is a photographer's delight. We arrived at 11am and enjoyed the place so much it was nearly 5pm when we left. Excellent cafe in the nearby garden serving sandwiches and cakes plus a full range of soft drinks. Highly recommend.

The place is stunning and well maintained. Covid restrictions in place, so we need to book in advance to get an entry. The place is good for photo sessions. One can plan an extensive session here. With waterbody it looks amazing. The only issue is the car parking fee of 3 which they charge in spite of paying admission fee of 8 pp.

I took my 4 children (8,6,3,1) to this outstandingly beautiful place. The ruins are amazing and so well maintained. The grounds are expansive and immaculately kept. Lots of space for running around, exploring, picnicing and opportunities for my little history buffs to learn. The working fountain fires up on the hour, every hour and was a real treat.
