We visited this park the day after we went to Garden of the Gods and it was such a refreshing change of pace. Wet saw almost no one while we were here for 4-5 hours. A few more people were on the trails by the time we were leaving, but it is such an empty park with great hikes. The first hike we did was a loop that combined the Outlook Ridge, Raven Ridge Overlook, and Lost Pond Trail. The views from Raven Ridge Overlook were awesome. The second hike we did was to the Grouse Mountain Overlook which had even better views. We planned to continue on the Cheesman Ranch Trail until we got to Buffalo Rock, but we never found it and ended up turning around. The Cheesman Ranch Trail was pretty boring. All of the trails we did were moderate. There were some steep sections that can be a little challenging (especially if you aren't used to the elevation), but it wasn't too bad overall. For the best bang for your buck (mileage?), I recommend the first loop we did (about 3.5 miles) and the Grouse Mountain Overlook.

Great park and would be wonderful a family. Camping books quick during the season so definitely don't wait until the last minute to reserve. Many trails and different scenery with each one.

Excellent camping and hiking! Don't miss Trail 16 it is short and sweet but 100% worth it at Sunset! This is a massive and busy campground but the amenities are really impressive with vault toilets and coin showers, washer and dryer facilities, visitors center with activities and so many hiking trails to melt ponds and vistas!

We stayed here the last week of August 2020. The park was absolutely beautiful, our site was perfect, we really enjoyed the hiking and site seeing, and we camped during the week so it wasn't very crowded. This was a perfect introduction to camping in Colorado.

The sunrise here are beautiful! There were a few campers when went there so if that’s your scene then you’ll enjoy it. There’re accommodation that will support campers of all kind.
