Very impressive Abbey, with majestic buildings and an equally beautiful church. The admission is free and there is a big parking lot. Do not miss the info center, from where you can take a guided tour.

Incredible Abbey in Maredsous. It is still in perfect condition from the outside while the inside of the Church is quite damaged (mainly the walls). Very good measures are being taken during this Corona situation, a mask is required and there is antibacterial gel everywhere. You can also buy typical cheese and beers made on the Abbey. It is a great place to visit!

Pretty building with interesting history but the only two zones that are accessible to the public are the church and the visitors centre. Outside of Covid regulations, one can take guided tours of the area, including another monastery about a kilometer away. It would be harsh to say it was disappointing but it was not really that different from any other abbey and the beer they brew there (named after the abbey) is available from most supermarkets. Their cheese and liqueurs are very good, however, and well worth the price we paid.

Beautiful and impressive abbey with a shop in a side building where you can buy e.g. Cheese and beer produced here next to some artisanal local products and the typical religious souvenirs.

Beautiful peaceful location, very nice shop with local bread, beer, liquor, accessories, candles, perfume, books and so on. There’s also a large cafe next door.

Lovely place for some extraordinary beer. Had the extra, and then bought the rest per bottle.

Did a very nice 20k cycle ride up to the Abbey from Dinant. Beers were absolutely great. Service was way too slow and prices a bit on the high end. Nevertheless, amazing experience. Highly recommended.
