A hidden gem just off 611 in the Delaware Water Gap! Perfect place to have some great Japanese cuisine. Don't forget the Sake! And if you wanted to know all about Sake, talk to Melissa! She's a wealth of knowledge!! You can dine in or takeout. And they have contactless payment, very important nowadays!

Karaage, ramen, poke, oh my! Food was delish and COVID protocols in place and adhered to. Nice find in the Shawnee area!

5 meals all with tasteless chicken that had been boiled. Hate to leave a bad review . It’s unfortunately our first and last visit . Not Japanese cuisine. We found huge chucks of raw cabbage 3x1 inch raw pieces. One bad dish would be passable but all 5 dishes awful . We are always visiting town and like the bakery next door . We left our food and went next door for a hot dog n pie. We wondered why they charge the meal and tip before serving . I’m all for support of small businesses. Specially since the pandemic has made it hard to survive . I hope the owner takes my review into consideration. Not the best way to represent genuine Japanese food .

I have no idea what others are talking about with these 5 star reviews. Sanga Kura gives you exactly what you'd expect from a Japanese restaurant in rural PA - it's not of any recognizable quality. I ordered the japanese curry with pork. Instead of katsu (fried pork cutlet) it came with stringy, shaved pork, which was very much like tripe (intestine). The curry tasted fine but was not as thick as it should be. My wife got the Tan Tan Ramen which she said the noodles were good, but the soup lacked flavor. There was also kimchi at the bottom of the bowl - very strange to include Korean kimchi in your Japanese noodle bowl. Finally we ordered the special sushi roll. It was very expensive at 14, came out after our meal was done, and was pushed flat. This wasn't acceptable sushi from anywhere, let alone a supposed Japanese restaurant. Anyone saying this place is amazing or even good does not know Japanese food OR they're posting just for the \free sticker\ the restaurant offers for a 5 star review.
