I picked up a book from their porch pickup yesterday, and the experience on the day of was smooth, but it did take 6 days for my order to be ready for pickup after placing it. I ordered local (and spent 10 more on one book) because I thought I could get it same or next day rather than waiting 2 days for Amazon, but that was a mistake.
One of the south's best bookstores, now affiliated with Agnes Scott College, which renovated one of its most beautiful homes for Charis. Extremely helpful staff, great depth in feminist and gender-relayed books, with a spacious back porch for reading and sipping coffee. Will special order any book. Stop by and see if you agree!
Such a homey little bookstore. The selection is fantastic and every single time I walk in, there's always something new that catches my eye. The bike rack outside is a welcome addition, seeing as this *is* Decatur and all. I adore this spot, and hope to encourage others to drop in!
It's always a good time at Charis. They have so many books on so many topics, they host awesome events, and they are always helpful!
