From a thorough survey and offering a range of practical options for remedial work, to excellent high quality work in our house. We were very happy with the service and remedial damp works carried out by Danford & Brewer on an old character property in Knaresborough. The old construction of the property meant that potential problems were not necessarily visible on initial survey/inspection. However, the surveyor was clear to point this out in advance. When unexpected problems were revealed, they were were dealt with efficiently, with quick communication, practical solutions offered and moderate additional cost explained. We are very happy with the finished result, the workmen were polite and helpful, as inobtrusive as they could be, did their best to protect floors etc and left the work area in a tidy state, ready for redecoration. We would be happy to recommend them.

Contracted this company to carry out damp proofing in our living room and kitchen, following the recommendations in the survey they completed for us. Surveyor was excellent and very thorough. Work was completed on time and on budget, by friendly tradesmen. Couple of mistakes and hiccups along the way, but these were quickly rectified for us. Happy with the job done. I would recommend this company, but I would say, before they start work, make sure you cover up properly yourself, as they don’t do it for you. That was our only quibble. Nothing was covered or protected and the place, especially the wooden floors, were left in a mess. A lot of cleaning up for us afterwards, but other than that a great job!
