I recently had surgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown. The hospital is a smaller boutique-style hospital located conveniently in the Uptown and West Village neighborhoods of Dallas, Texas. Baylor Uptown has up-close parking and they also provided complimentary valet services. While at Baylor Uptown, I had a very positive patient experience, the staff and nurses were kind and they kept me updated on what was happening next - and they were responsive to my needs. I found out this Baylor surgery center was one of the first LEED Green Certified hospitals in Dallas, Texas. I liked the smaller hospital ”feeling” of Baylor Uptown plus it seemed efficient and took less time than I was expecting. Everything went well with my surgery, and I liked my doctor. The staff at the surgery center were careful to go over the post-operative instructions with me and also made sure my friend understood them as well. When I was preparing to leave, I was given a blue Baylor Uptown bag with all my post-surgical information - and inside the bag was a container of homemade chicken noodle soup-from the cafe at the hospital. A nice personal touch. When I returned home, and unpacked the blue Baylor bag, I realized they’d slipped a nice note from all of the nurses and medical staff that treated me. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Uptown took customer service to the next level during my visit. I highly recommend them - if you need surgery or medical procedure.

My girlfriend was having an extreme allergic reaction at around midnight and could barely hold her own. Security made me leave her as soon as we walked in and after she went into the office, they refused to let me wait in the waiting room and instead made me wait outside in rainy belowing freezing weather. Security officer proceeded to play a videogame on his phone while watching me get rained on.

Good hospital, horrible customer / patient service. Grossly overbilled and will not provide itemized detailed billing. Threatens collection agency all the time, even with a payment plan that is paid every month on time. Customer service is rude beyond belief. Take your business elsewhere

I have been to several physical therapy clinics in my area over the past few years and this one has been the best. The staff has been very good at communicating with me and my doctor about my condition and how I feel about how my treatment is helping me get back to normal. They give me information on how to do exercises and how the exercises effect muscles, joints, pain, etc. The clinic is very clean and quiet. It is very near the front door of the hospital - very convenient location. And lastly and very importantly , the staff - administrative staff and therapists have been friendly ,caring and helpful. They have been great representatives of Baylor Scott & White.
