I was formerly an employee of AMT. I was knowingly placed in a harmful situation by management in Pennsylvania because I was black and my roommate was black. Shortly after getting to my hotel last week and meeting my roommate,she informed me that her previous room was infested with bed bugs. Nothing was done to ensure she had gotten rid of them before I was assigned to her room so the first two nights I was there with her she got bit. We both were placed in another hotel and told by management to keep quiet. With my own money I had to purchase things for us both to ensure we didn’t spread the bugs in our current residence. Once taken to the second hotel they left us stranded having to beg them to take us places because team leaders were using work cars to take vacations. During my employment I observed several other policies that could have placed me in danger. My roommate threatened me and nothing was done, I informed them she was smoking in our hotel room and nothing was done, and even after washing my cloths and getting forced to quit; I boarded my plane with my bags and I had gotten bit by a bed bug. I immediately contacted Kevie, however she blocked me because she knew I had gotten them from the original hotel they tried to repeatedly place me back into after three consecutive nights of an employee getting bitten. I didn’t feel safe which is why I had to go home and my concerns turned out to be accurate. Not only was I placed in harms way purposely; I was told by several managers my safety and the safety of my property wasn’t an option. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever undergo. No wonder their turn around rates are high !
