My favorite Japanese sweet shop in Kyoto. You can enjoy sweets in a small but cozy cafe in the back of the shop while enjoying a beautiful small garden inside. \Mizore\ or shaved ice (frappe) served here is very different from those in other shops because of its very fragile ice and genuine taste syrup. My very best one is \Umeshu Mizore\ which is seasoned with Umeshu (plum wine). It is only for adults of course, as it contains alcohol. If you are looking for something different, authentic \Maccha Milk Mizore\ is also excellent and can be a good choice. \Kohaku Nagashi\ is very famous for its smooth jelly. The natural jelly is seasoned with different tastes of the moth. You may wish to come back every month like me. Here are the monthly tastes I have caught up. June - Plum wine July - Mint August - Ginger (Hiyashi Ame) September - Grape October - Chestnut with red beans paste November - Persimmon December- Sweet black beans January - White bean paste February - Cocoa March - Amazake (non alcoholic sweet rice wine) April - Cherry blossom May - Fresh tea 和菓子屋さん大極殿に併設された喫茶だけあり、なんとも繊細な甘味を楽しめます。 口の中でほろりと崩れる寒天の琥珀流しはシロップが月替わり、なので毎月行きたくなります。(結局、制覇しました!) 6月 梅酒 7月 ミント 8月 冷やしあめ(生姜) 9月 ぶどう 10月 栗ぜんざい 11月 柿 12月 黒豆 1月 白味噌 2月 ココア 3月 甘酒 4月 桜花 5月 新茶

I tried agar with syrup and warabi mochi. They have monthly special syrup and July was peppermint but I don't like it then the lady offered to make it with black sugar syrup instead. She was very nice and the time spent at there was slowly and good
