This is a must visit while in Cadiz Lots of fresh produce, meats, and fish. There are also lots of stalls were u can buy great food to eat at the small tables. This is a great reunion place for all, tourists and locals!

For anyone who loves food, ingredients or cooking, it will be a wonderful place to walk around. The market is structure with a central building where you find all the seafood merchants and then in a separate rampart structure surrounded the central building where you will find all the meat, vegetable or spices shops. During the lunch time, this rampart structure is also hosting all the 'takeaway' restaurants.

This market is lovely. Prices are very good and everything is fresh. One one best market, according to me, is Andalucia. I ate at that place called Serria de Càdiz and I really liked it. You have to go!

What a live place, it’s the combination of a regular local market with an eating area. You can choose from tapas, to fish, beer or wine. Our choice was get an assortment of different ham, smoked ham and other charcuterie with some homemade bread and do a picnic right there in the middle of the market. Great choice and very affordable. El Mercado a central is definetely a must when visiting Cadiz.
