After taking a break from rugby for 4 years and toying with the idea of playing again, I couldn't make up my mind about joining my old club or to join a new one. It was only when out of the blue I overheard a conversation with one of my work old colleagues talking about rugby and playing for St Francis RFC. I decided to give it a go as there was an away game against Crawley, till this day this was the best decision I have ever made, not only did I get back into a sport I missed, but also made life-long friendships between a cracking bunch of players of all ages! If you read this and in the same position I was in and want to get back into Rugby look no further - St Francis RFC is the club for you.

My father played for the club, so after all the wonderful stories I've heard from him and his team mates it was an easy decision to join. It hasn't changed, a great bunch of people who made me feel very welcome! I will never change!

Really good club atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome and the lads are a great bunch. Tour is always awesome and always an opportunity to play regardless of ability.

Came to st Francis on the recommendation Of a friend when I was looking for a new club After the first training session I knew this was where I wanted to play my rugby Great lads, all very welcoming and we all have a laugh I’d now call these guys my extended family Great choice for anyone wanting to join a club and grow regardless of level of ability

I joined the Ladies Club in 2016 when I was new to the area and the club couldn't have been more welcoming if they tried. There are regular socials, both mixed with the men and just ladies, this allowed me to make great friends. I had never played rugby before, which wasn't a problem, the club accepts all levels.
