Beautiful. Frank Lloyd Wright's studio was here, as was the office of the publisher of the original \Raggedy Ann and Andy\ books. The Pritzker Library doesn't really have exhibits, but lots of specialized books.

The lobby of the Monroe Building should be on every visitors list of Magnificent public spaces in Chicago. Step inside and take a step back in time to a more glorious time in Chicago history when architectural decor reigned supreme. This building has undergone a few enovations\ in its' time, most recently back to its original glory. Rookwood tile adorns the walls, the floors and the ceiling of this architectural gem, making it the world's largest collection of such material. Historical displays inside the lobby will tell you all about the original building, the art-deco renovations of the 50's and the ultimate restoration of the building by the current owners. If you get the opportunity, don't miss the chance to step inside. While you're at it, head upstairs to the Pritzker Military Library, open to the public for a nominal fee.
everyone should visit this building
