I love this beach which my family and I have had the pleasure of enjoying daily camping 1 weekend every year for the past 15 plus years, always a good time until new management took over last year and the year before. The rates have changed significantly, park attendants were intrusive to our campsite yet didn’t control public beach visitors gaining access, walking through and using our rented space, the new manager Liz, is not as friendly and the trash was not maintained as usual in previous years. Hope things are better this year. Just think that unnecessary changes were made.. Folks just never leave well enough alone.

My review is from a Pre-COVID19 visit. This is a rather large and well positioned beach tucked away from view. You do have to pay an entry fee to get in which at the time of my visit was 10. There are restrooms and shower facilities here. The beach is rather long and deep enough to allow for you to spread out a bit and not be too close to others. The water is relatively clean and was warm during August. If you properly pack food and beverages, you could make an entire day out of this beach. If you are vacationing on a budget, this would be a great spot to check out.

We love camping here! It’s so nice camping by the water. There is plenty to do, the kids play in the water all day. I kayak and relax by the water. The bathhouse is a little dated but clean. I appreciate that they have a handicapped accessible swing at the playground!!
