Surprised to find this gem particularly in this location. Every time I visit India (about 4months every year) I make several trips here. Food is very tasty as evidenced by the number of regular customers. But for me the most important thing is cleanliness. Once I suggested that they use a separate vessel for drawing from the good drinking water drum instead of dunking every carafe handled by customers and cleaning staff at every table susceptible to picking up all kinds of muck. I was amazed that they implemented this immediately--if anything, it demonstrates their commitment to cleanliness. On the next visit, I noticed they had installed water purifiers. For lunch you get rice with about five different gravies veg/nonvegetarian generous helping of curries and kootus; and of course you can order whatever fish/chicken/liver/etc. dish they have. They also have biryani and different rice concoctions. As for the price, I feel guilty every time I go there. (Opposite State Bank of Travancore on Tharamani Link Road near Foot overbridge.)
