Which normal office closes at 3:30? It says on the internet that the Tax office is open till 5 o'clock. I got there at around 20 minutes past 4 and met a closed door with the sheet saying that they are open from Monday to Friday till 3:30. Now how a normal working person who works till at least 3 o'clock can pay for their Tax? This is ridiculous and needs to change...

Rant incoming. After all the goodness of the week I've some good news and bad news. The guy from gas networks Ireland came this morning and installed the prepay meter which was great. He informed me call the guy who I got the certs from to get the gas reconnected to the property. I had the guys number as he is subcontracted out by the council. He told me ring them up and log it up so they would come over and get it sorted later today. I called the council and encountered a very ignorant and contrary women who says that's not in the remit of the council to reconnect the gas for you and that you'll have to pay someone. The council are like the FAI and John Delaney a bunch of liars and waste of space. She would inquire about it and get back to me. A guy called back and said that I'll have to pay for it out of our own pockets. Thankfully with the help from people I've a little extra saved over and with some of my own money I'm going to have to get someone to come out and reconnect the gas. I just can't believe the audacity of the council. After the mammoth effort to get the gas sorted they won't send someone out to reconnect. It's been 10 years no gas and tbh these houses were build very shoddy have a lot of problems that I'm working on to get resolved as well. Just can't believe it another stumbling block and expect more along the way before everything is resolved.
Is a minus rating possible? I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment my mother who as a mental illness is receiving from the council, Michael mussi to be exact in the housing department. On one occasion the male receptionist even referred to my mother while she was tearing up and Cleary anxious as \you people\ causing my mother to call me in tears not understanding why he would say that. She is in a place she is renting that's taking up her weekly allowance leaving her with very little to live on and she is relying on myself and brother to try help keep her above water which isn't ideal as she dosnt have her independence and we don't always have a lot to give. She has open herself up to the council for support, admitting suicide attempts, feelings of paranoia and distress etc to on be pushed aside again and again told they are looking into it... she has been on the housing list for a number if years, they have lost her paper work on 3 occasions and have out her down more times than I can count. It's absolutely shameful to see people get handed housing for nothing (and from what I see not always irish) and here's my mam living in fear that one day it will all just cave in on her just wanting to be able to afford to fund herself and have a place of her own that she can feel safe and secure. Absolutlwy disgusting treatment of people !!!!
Shame on you! What idiots sit on Cavan county council that can justify passing another planning application\u200b for yet another horrendous puppy farm? This council gives the island of Ireland very bad press, for god's sake wake up and listen to what the people of Ireland are saying instead of just lining your pockets. No decent human being would agree with these despicable places that make money out of constant suffering of innocent animals. DO SOMETHING DECENT FOR ONCE!!!!

just to let people know cavan county council are useless when you are looking for a place if you contact them they fob you off and make you wait properly 5 to 10 years to get a flace thats if you are lucky enough to get a place with all of the eu and beyond comming in to ireland cavan county council like any other local councils in ireland are not housing irish people anymore its disgusting
Hi i want to know what tractors with slurry tanks are dumping down the mains in st patricks tce daily also driving down st patricks tce on the foot path which they have broken i keep tripping on it it is a health and safety issue and the smell is just stinking .the tractors are driving out to the crossdoney road and entering a piggery need i say more do you know about this if not can you look into it or i will have to go to the HSE and talk with them they are at it at this very moment can you send out someone to take a look at them also the footpath .regards michael.
