Simply the best doctor in WNY. My family and I love her not only as a doctor but also a person. You Simply can't go wrong with choosing her for your dermatology needs. She also has a beautiful P.A who i here is known for being the best in the country... think her name is Colleen.

I started seeing Dr. Amarante when I was around 12yrs old to treat my severe eczema. She was always so kind and taught me how to care for my skin. After years of having it under control, I thought I needed to see a dermatologist who specialized in black skin. Which just led to me wasting a lot of money on expensive creams that where not ideal for large areas of the body. In my late 20s I experienced a stress induced flare up after grad school, and a different dermatologist prescribed me strong lotions that burned along with topical and oral steroids. Which at the time I didn't want to rely on again since I hadn't had a flare up that bad since I was very young. They didn't listen to my history and past experiences they just try to rediagnose me. One even tried to diagnose me with psoriasis. I immediately went back to Dr. Amarante's office and met with the PA Colleen. She listened to my experience with other dermatologists, even watched me cry a little lol. She so wonderful!!! She gave me a non steroid topical and a treatment to treat my eczema internally. Helping me understand that once we control the inflammation we can treat the discoloration. My skin has been so much better since! I love Dr. Amarante's office and will never go anywhere else again. The waits are long but they are worth it! Dr. Amarante and Colleen actually listen and guide you in a way you're comfortable with.
