Having signed up to a Flotilla holiday and not realising I needed to have my ICC Assesment to charter in Greece, BOSS Sailing pulled out all the stops to accomdodate me at very short notice. Massive thanks to Peter & Nikki who organised the course and the instructor Nick whose calm instruction got me through on a very very blustery day and was brilliant from start to finish. Cannot speak highly enough of the team at BOSS.

I had such a fantastic 2 days, Nik was a brilliant Skipper.. we all had such a great time! As a complete novice on the water, he shared his wealth of knowledge and made me feel comfortable in my new situation and my crew mates were truly great company, it was a solid crew and a treat of a first adventure in the sailing world! Thanks to Nikki for all of her help, reassurance and question answering leading up to the voyage.. it was all very needed and appreciated.
I have just completed 5 day Competent Crew certification and really loved it. First real sailing experience.All women crew with Cynthia Robinson as the skipper. Awesome and amazing experience. Huge thanks to the BOSS team who made this an unforgettable and memorable sailing trip.

I agree with the rest of the reviews. BOSS is the best sailing school in the Solent. I have been around to quite a few of them. BOSS stands out with the caring attitude they have on the front of their service. As soon as I called them, I was greeted by a highly competent lady Nikki, who listened patiently to all of my requirements and gave me a good quality professional guidance. I was not surprised to find out that she is an Ocean Master, yet she is very down to earth and caring to support a sailor on any level of their development. I booked my first course with them last week, which was a boat handling course for a weekend. It is the best course in the Solent as it is bespoke unlike any other school. I wrote my requirements of what skills I wanted to practice and the Instructor Stephen, took note and tailored the syllabus of the course to match our requirements. We did two days of skills development and it was so useful and productive, I can't think of a better investment of my money for the amount of knowledge I received on that course. Stephen is also a highly competent skipper and a warm, kind person. He shared generously his techniques and tips how he plans his passages and I'm eternally grateful for that. I also met the Principle, Peter, who is very warm and welcoming and down to earth. This school is by far the most caring and supportive school in the Solent, who know how to teach people and how to get the best out of people, unlike many schools in the Solent who focus only on sailing skills but don't have the teaching skills to support people and to make the learner comfortable. I will be coming back again to do more courses. I strongly recommend this school if you are looking for a sailing course in the Solent.
