Wholly unsatisfying experience of TRYING to buy a stove from this company. After 3 very clear emails, I had still failed to elicit an answer to how much a particular stove would cost. When I did finally receive a call back (to numerous calls and messages) the owner had a rather terse and resentful tone from the outset and again maintained he didn’t want to give the information. As a customer, should I not have the right to know what someone is charging for a product? Why the clock and dagger approach? It was a complete waste of time and energy. His was not the cheapest price I have found, but neither the most expensive, and Embers is the closest store to where I live. So, had his manner been open and clear from the outset I swear I would have bought from him. But not after this. Why would I want to now have to deal with this person again face to face? Surely not a good approach to business?

We have now had stoves installed in both of our reception rooms by Embers. Their knowledge is first class, their work is clean and tidy and of the highest standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Couldn't be happier with our experience buying a wood burner from Embers. Lex in the shop was very friendly and helped us pick-out a stove that would fit on our existing hearth. We thought we would have to replace it so were very pleased not to have to do that, saving us a bit of money too. He arranged for Paul to come to our home a couple of days later to take accurate measurements and finalise the details what we wanted to have installed, including plastering they would re-do and a missing chimney pot they would replace. When it came to fitting day, Paul returned with Dave and they worked flat-out all day to get everything installed, and when they were done they left the place absolutely spotless. Overall, we're very pleased with the whole process and with our new stove, which we've had lit every day since we got it and haven't had a single issue.
Good communication in the run up to the installation, very professional and friendly team. Would recommend.
I phoned up today to check on availability of 3 stoves that are in my short list. The lovely manager went through all the pros and cons of each stove and helped me narrow down my choice to the Charnwood Aire. I was advised that lead times are longer at the moment due to Covid-19 but the reassurance I received from Embers was honest and I felt that I was in safe hands by placing my order. If I ever need another stove I will be going back to Embers without hesitation.
