Don't expect an actual castle, only the remains of one but very interesting history nonetheless. Lovely area to walk around and use your imagination as to how it might have looked in its heyday.

Beautiful place to visit and so much history! Bits of ruins of the castle all around, must have been huge in it’s day and so impressive I bet. Can see where the motte was in the middle. It’s great to imagine what it once was like. Will definitely be visiting again and spending longer.
Spent a very enjoyable afternoon in Bramber. Walked around the castle grounds, the village church next to it then down into the lovely village. After cappuccino then a wine spritzer in the garden of a village pub I walked down to the river, walked by the river & back up to the castle. Lovely afternoon out & I'll certainly be doing it again.
Little have from the wind be it summer or winter. Lots of exploring for kids be it the ring walk, the open spaces or the central wooded mound /hill. Ice cream van seems nearly always there except for the worst weather and deepest winter days
Nice place for a visit / walk around. Not too much left of the castle itself but you do get a good sense of the original castle. Good place for a picnic and for the little ones to run around safely.
