Used Humanwire for a year donating regularly and being happy with transparency. Unfortunately, the speed of delivery slowed down to a halt. The company would not respond about our monetary donations and it took a lot of time and effort to recover the last donation that disappeared for 2 months. Our hearts are broken that we cannot be in contact with the family in Lebanon, with whom we built relationship and hopes.

Founder of Humanwire now under arrest for embezzlement. Too bad he could not follow the rules. He was a visionary guy and I really liked the idea of what he wanted to accomplish. I can honestly say much good has come from Humanwire, and some people were helped. I have stayed in touch with some refugees in Lebanon, and the transparency in the process was OK, but it seems Humanwire grew too fast and Andrew was unable to fulfill the promise of putting 100% of donations to the cause. We could have accepted the fact that some money was needed for overhead expenses -- at least he should have admitted that at some point and raised some capital to cover his salary. Now the whole organization has fallen flat, what a sad ending. I hope somebody else has the courage and determination to pick up this cause and do it with integrity.
