Wherever I go I always try to find a small independent coffee shop. At these places you can taste the best coffee made with love and passion unlike international franchises. I'm delighted that I found in Bordeaux such a great coffee shop Comptoir ChocolaThé. It's in the historic centre of Bordeaux near St Andrews Cathedral and Musée des Beaux-Arts. They make not only great espresso but they cheer you with smile and courtesy. Believe me this is not very often in France especially in Paris. Don't miss out.

My partner is very particular about her hot chocolate, and this place did not disappoint. Even better, they happen to serve the rather elusive white hot chocolate, which she had been craving. The shop is filled with brewing/steeping paraphernalia, which can be interesting to look at while enjoying a cuppa. On top of that, we were served by a friendly host which contributed to the welcoming ambience!

Normally when I ask for hot chocolate I get disappointed, but here it was one of the best. Exactly what I wanted. Chantilly fait maison really good and also the cakes are delicious. Very nice place to go in this cold

Nice small tea shop with friendly staff. Unfortunately, the water for the tea is not filtered, which I would expect at this price (4.10 for a cup of Earl Grey). The atmosphere is simple, but pleasant. The bathroom is a portable unit outside the building. I enjoyed my visit, but it was a bit too expensive.

Always a great spot to drink either high quality chocolate (fav for Grand Cru), coffee (grains from Alchimiste) or Tea (mainly Damman).
