Josie was a much needed breath of fresh air in these difficult times.ok we had to wait but in view of the circumstances she went above and beyond to help. And the lovely barman sorry i forgot your name. very patient young lad when dealing with the queues that are now required in these situations we are in which very impatient customers seem to forget. Would definitely be back again just for the banter with josie. Thank you very much for the extra treacle sponge cake without the treacle table 23 xxx

This place is amazing for Carvery meals, puts Toby carvery to shame... Great service, Great selection, Great food and really good value... It will be busy so expect a short wait for a table but it's well worth it.... There us somethk g for everyone and if you don't like Roast Diners then the menu won't disappoint as there is loads to choose from...
I went for a roast here today with my partner the roast was beautiful but I was shocked at how close our table was to the other tables no social distancing at all people were squeezing past my chair to get past making me feel very uncomfortable!! Also que for the carvery. I won't be going back till this covid is over I felt unsafe.
Wouldn't let us sit outside for a quick drink after work because they couldn't accommodate table service. We are being encouraged to eat or drink outside so thought this was odd we didn't want to sit inside for obvious reasons. Wouldn't be too difficult to pop some numbers on the outside and do table service seems lazy

While enjoying lovely pints of beer I was absolutely disgusted withe the attitude of the staff in their disposal of empty bottle behind the bar. Repeatedly all we heard was the sound of breaking glass as bottles were being thrown into a bin behind the bar. quite frankly it was a disgrace , no thought given to the customers. Lovely bar ,great food , all spoiled by the thoughtless attitude of the staff.
Avoid this place! If I could give this a zero star I would. Terrible place to come to for either food or drink. They rarely have any food from the menu, regularly being told they have not got the items to make that meal. The carvery and it's selection are dry, with the veg, salad and gravy looking like it is clearly left out all day with no fresh items brought out. Then when you attend the bar area you are met with appalling service from the staff, made to feel uncomfortable for ordering. The toilets are a vile place as well.
Abysmal, what a joke booked a table for seven on the 26th of August got there for seven we were told there was a fifteen minutes delay, we were shown to our table. On sitting down we were told there was no carvery left after we had just been told they were putting more meats on. So we ordered the gammon ten minutes later we were told no gammon so we ordered the fish same again ten minutes later no fish. We ended up with hamburgers, we really should have left, three of us received our meals and four had to wait a further twenty minutes. The burgers were warm the chips cold what an awful night, a one and half hour wait for cold food and not an apology in site. I for one will not be returning here far to many of these places are using the pandemic as an excuse for bad service and this really was bad.
