No, just no. Respiratory therapy is first rate, Dr. Jabbar is amazing. But the rest of this hole is not worth the effort. I have had blood drawn, incision made and stitches removed and staff are wearing the same gloves they touched everything in the room with. They also get rather belligerent if you ask them to change their gloves. Some of them never take them off. Don't bother with submitting a travel voucher on paper you will never see it. The pharmacy is worthless as apparently everything is not in \their\ formulary. It can be in the national VA formulary, which you can easily look up, but if they don't feel like doing a little work you will go without. They will ask you to write and you doctor to write all kinds of justifications as to why you need the medication. Once all that is done, you will just be ignored. Also ALWAYS! check your medications against and online database as I frequently get the wrong amount, drug, or something made in china or pakistan. Do NOT bother with the patient advocate as you will be wasting your time. Most of the reviews here are from employees. Yes, you can be looked up in the nation feral worker database. Choose anything else, Metashare, buying your own healthcare, whatever you have to do. DO NOT CHOOSE VA.
I have had good service for the most part there. It isn’t perfect and no place is especially when it concerns the Government. I would recommend any veteran to go there.
My dad died in 2016. He was a World War II veteran and I don't know what we would have done without the VA hospital in Bonham TX and the VA office in Sherman TX..They were always so kind to him and he respected each and everyone of them..We never had a problem..I can only speak for our experiences but what I saw was caring people that loved our Veterans that bent over backwards to help...These people are true patriots! God bless them!
The Dental facility is absolutely Outstanding: the staff are caring and very professional.
