really impressed. staff were all extremely friendly and professional. food was great and first class service. all areas of the venue were well set out for social distance, with proper cleaning taking place after bowling and pool etc. cannot ask for more !!

Bishop's Stortford has had a bowling alley, on and off, for 20 years or so. Having been closed for some time, this latest incarnation is superb. They have moved away from the typical bright, garish teenager traps, littered with overpriced arcade games and serving warm beer and cold hotdogs. Instead, Ace Of Lanes has opted a far more mature and sophisticated feel. The space is well laid out, with great decor, nice lighting, comfortable chairs and good music. The bowling system is modern and easy to use, the menu is good and the bar very well stocked. It's more of a restaurant bar, with the added benefit of having a dozen bowling lanes. Booking online was easy, and if you're wearing flat shoes on, like Converse, then they don't even make you wear their bowling shoes. It's absolutely the best bowling alley I've been to. I hope Ace Of Lanes celebrates more success than its predecessors, and stays with us for many years to come.
Great design with the lighting etc. Plenty of games i.e arcade machines , pool and hockey tables. The alley runs smoothly most of the times . A few times the lane had to be reset . Service is fast , friendly staff , sure they are always smiling under the masks. Can always see a member off staff wiping down equipment so its covid 19 safe. Food is average for the price you pay.
This is the best place to have a good time. Safe for the teens to play and food is also very good.
I really love what they have done with the place, it's tastefully decorated and a nice place to go as a group of adults. I found the drinks very pricey though, 7.80 for a double, way above normal prices in town. However, you can order a bottle of wine for around 20!
