This place is a lovely quiet oasis in the middle of Playa del Ingles, 5 minute walk from Yumbo Center. As soon as you step through the door, you can enjoy and relax at a nice pool, or sit on the little terrace of your room. Staff is very friendly and attentive. My room was big, lots of storage place and a bright bathroom. Breakfast buffet until 12h, lots of fresh choices. I felt very welcomed, the poolside offers lot of sun, but also big umbrellas for some shade.

Although we did not stay here we were allowed to use the pool for the day. The staff here are extremely polite. The place is beautiful,spotlessly clean & decorated, modern but homely.it's a real relax & chill resort. On this visit they were unable to accommodate our booking, but we will certainly look into booking for our next visit to gran canaria.

It was great. The room is clean and beautiful. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. Pool is just right. They serve breakfast every morning, to your specific choices. Drinks available in your room. Rooms are quite and spacious with updates. Had a great time. Centrally located to shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Beaches are within walking distance. Definitely would do this place again.
I was staying at the Birdcage for the first time and got the "Swan Cage" room. The whole complex is very clean and green and with only 9 rooms, my expectations of a quiet hotel were fully met. Lying at the heated pool with quiet music coming from the speakers, it does not take long until your body switches to vacation mode. I got to know a few other guests very well so I had the chance to peek into their rooms too and every room has been decorated with a different theme. I am not even sure I can find anything bad about my stay there. Andree was just a delight and I can really recommend Michael's massages. Visitors should just keep in mind that this is not a party hotel. It is more upscale than the competitors and at 38 I was one of the younger guests there. That however did not keep me and my new friends from raiding our (very reasonably priced) minibars and having a great time sitting and talking at the pool until the early morning hours. Being such a quiet, lovely place but still so close to the Yumbo Center makes this a great hotel to pick if you want to relax during the day, but have the option to party at night without worrying how you will get home. I will be back.
Horrible experience. Cockroach infested room. 5 large ones (2 on bed ran over me) & a myriad of small ones on night of arrival. The owner said it was normal in Gran Canaria, there is nothing they can do & alleged we must have left the door open (not true). Also said we shouldn't have used the bug spray they left in room as it was poisonous & we should have read instructions on can. Also intimidated that as we live in Mexico we should be used to cockroaches. Worst hotel experience ever & I have stayed in hundreds.
Stayed in the birdcage resort for the second time. As the first stay, the service is impecable! Very clean room with welcome bottle of cava and dailey fresh fruit. Extensive Buffet Breakfast from 9-12h with home made bread, waffles, muesli and 10 different egg diches with all kinds of ingredients (bacon, mushrooms,...) of choice. Freshly prepared on call. Extra towels for at the poolside or at the beach. See you next year!
