Excellent onsen with a local feeling. It operates daily only for four hours 8:15 to 12:00. Entrance fee 900. You need to bring your own towel and soap-shampoo. If there is nobody at the entrance when you enter, proceed with the bath and you pay at your way out. There are lockers for your valuables. Everything is outdoor, as you enter after the changing room there is a large outdoor tub with small wooden places to sit on its edge. There you clean yourself using the bucket provided. Be careful for the soap not to fall in the water. Then you can enjoy your bath, the water is VERY strong, a sign suggests maximum three dips no more than 7 minutes each. Then a bit further there is a smaller tub with the mud spa. The mud is in a quite liquid form, when you go out if you wait a bit it will form a thin crust on your body. Wash off with water well before you renter the big non-mud tub. The locals were friendly, mostly old folks. Tattoos should be allowed as before I leave there was a young guy who had his upper body full tattooed. I read that this place doesn't want so much publicity so it restricts TV crews and media of much coverage, also there is only one person working there so it would be hard if it got too crowded. For a local, strong onsen experience, recommended!

変わった温泉に入りたい！そんな貴方にオススメの温泉です。隣の天然坊主地獄から採取した泥を使った泥温泉。泥と言ってもドロドロではなく手触りはサラサラ。過去いろいろな温泉に入りましたが、ここが一番肌がスベスベになりました。泥パワー恐るべし。一般のお客さんは午前中しか入浴出来ないので注意です。
蒸し湯の受付の方におすすめと言うことで教えて頂きました。 初めての泥湯体験でした。 上がった瞬間からツルツルです。 タオルが売ってないので持参が必要です。
皆さんおっしゃる通り普通の温泉ではありません。顔にかいた汗を流そうと うっかり泥のついた手で擦って目に泥が入ったら目医者さんに行かないと大変な事になる位、泥の粒子が細かくて尖っているらしいです。この情報は地元の方が教えてくれた情報です。最初入り方の説明時には泥は顔に塗ったり、身体に塗ったりは出来ません！だけでした。観光のついでにはいられる際は気をつけてください。タオルで汗を吹く時もゴシゴシ擦らず、軽く抑えるようにして汗を撮るのが良いかと思います。汗をとるタオルとベンチに座る時に敷くタオルか何かがあればより快適です。 思うより発汗するので水分補給も忘れずに楽しみたいですね
人生初の泥風呂 初めて行く方でも親切丁寧に 女性の管理人の方が 入浴の仕方を教えてくれます。 最初にデカイ浴場がありますが、 入る場所により温度が違います 手前側は、激熱ですが、 通路側の奥はヌルくてちょうど良いです 泥風呂も、動かなければ 泥が肌に付き 温度を遮断してくれます やはり、動くと熱いです 現地には階段で入り口まで登りますので 車椅子の方は難しいです 階段も２０段程です 現地、シャンプーは禁止 石鹸等はありません。 貸しタオル、タオル類の販売もありません。 手ぶらだと入れません 値段は、高いかもしれませんが 管理人さんが、数分おきに 温度管理と、泥風呂をかき混ぜてくれるので 妥当の値段ですね 一度は行くべきです
