Great place for all ages! Grandma, great uncle, 1 adult, 1 teen, 3 kids, everyone had a good time at the farm. Grandma stayed in the nice covered picnic area, while everyone else went on hayride out to the fields. We wandered through the apple orchard, the pumpkin patch, and the sunflower fields (bring a pocket knife with you!), and we got lots of beautiful pumpkins, gourds, and big sunflowers. I was dreading the total at the end, but 4 (smallish) pumpkins, 8 gourds, and 4 big sunflowers was only 20.33... would have been twice that at the store! While we were out there, got to witness the pumpkin chuckin', a big machine that shoots pumpkins across the pond! Then we stopped at the concessions and got hot cider and cider slushies to refuel, then on to the rest of the farm/ playground! Tall slides, a bus in the sand to climb on, a pirate ship, farm animals to see (some people in another review griped that you couldn't feed the animals, its a pandemic, folks!) Oh, and there are nice bathrooms with running water to wash up after everything. They have plenty of places for adults to sit while the kids run amok, the most fun were the two big bouncy pillows, and the little raceway carts! Don't forget to get some pumpkin donuts to go, was delicious with our morning coffee.

This is our favorite pumpkin patch experience. From the live music (in October, I believe!) to the donuts, to the air pillow jumping, to farm animals and MANY games and play equipment, it’s the perfect outing for young children. I think the experience is well worth the price for a special day at a real farm with wonderful outdoor attractions. We’ve had only good experiences with the staff and have visited three different years. Note: I’m not sure what it’s like in this crazy year of 2020, but I can sure vouch for previous years!

Lots of activities for younger kids. The teen wasn't as impressed. Plan on hiking a bit and getting dusty. Decent selection of pick your own vegetables. Great variety of pumpkins and small gourds.(Note the white ones are best for decorating instead of carving as they very tough to cut.) Don't forget cider slushies and pumpkin donuts! They appeased the teenager and were amazing!

I highly recommend heading down to Johnson Farms with your kids on an off day. I am about all things Fall but especially with COVID, wasn't looking forward to the crowds one would expect at these places. My three-year old and I went on a Friday morning and I was plesently surprised by the lack of congestion. A few of the activities are not open during the week, but there is still PLENTY to do. We spent four hours there picking sunflowers, pumpkins, apples, playing games and on the play equipment, seeing the animals, and enjoying apple cider slushies and pumpkin donuts. Think I found my new favorite Fall activity!

2020 YouTube Purge: the black plague

Apple picking was a bust. Expensive admission fee for adults, with nothing to do or sit. If I was a parent with a kid I would pay for the kid to enter and let the staff take care of the kid for the outrageous fee. Sit at the exist until the kids are done playing that way they cannot nickle and dime you like a circus. Either the apples were hard as rock, mushy as a slushy, bland or no flavor, or as tart as citric acid and hard as a rock. This place is more a circus then a farm. The farm is mix of a greenhouse then a farm with sunflowers, pumpkins, gourds, corn, and an orchard. It feels more like a maze with how they have the orchard made up. Like they're trying to make an espaliered tree orchard and not all the tree types are labeled. Everything they sell at the concessions stands came out of box. Label: CIRUCS One time experience needed to know to not go back. Read the 1 reviews. Also, their website doesn't clearly state the admission fee into the farm had we known, we would have gone to 1 of the other 5 recommended apple picking farms according to channel 9 news. Also, explains why channel 9 gave them the 4 of 5 rating, because it's not #1. Wasted: 51
