There is a really nasty woman who works at the cashier desk. Probably the one who put up all the man hater signs on the walls. Always rude and snarky. Today I went in looking for ducks and turkeys. Online the info says starts at 12:30. I asked her what time it REALLY starts, because they were done when I got there at 12:30. She said 11. I said why does it say 12:30 online? She said \I dont know\ and gave me a nasty snarky look as usual. Way to drive off business. Correct response would be to address that and not be rude to your customers.

Incredibly disappointed with my experience today at the auction. was an unorganized mess, got there at a 11 and waited around till 4:30 for the pigs that I wanted. This normally wouldn't have been an issue but the employees couldn't even give me a rough estimate on what time certain auctions should start. It would have been nice to leave and get some actual food (no disrespect to the nice women at the dinner). Was moderately upset over the quality of care some of the live stock received. Many of the animals seemed under nourished (shouldn't be seeing ribs on a pig) and had visible wounds. Overall handling of some of the larger animals by the employees I viewed as cruel at best. They gave my animal to the wrong person so i was stuck there even longer than i had to. I will say that MOST of the empire employees were very pleasant and help full which is why you get that wonderful 2nd star. Pros: Nice people Cons: Mistreated animals, Major lack of organization Will not return (like they would care)...

Small animal and poultry auction starts at 11 am on Thursdays and calf auction starts at 12 30 on Tuesday
