Great customer service. Collected very large pieces of furniture for me at very short notice. Very patient with my many questions. Prompt payment after auction. My first auction experience thank you for making it so easy!
A very disappointing buying experience sadly. Purchased an item said to be in working order, as advised by vendor, but not the case. When pressed for answers was directed to a third party who was unable to assist. If that wasn't bad enough had to chase for additional items listed in the Lot that weren't sent out in the first place. No offer of compensation of any sort other than a refund upon returning items at my cost, which would have cost a fair amount due to weight and size of item. Lack of professional courtesy I feel as well as customer service. Further to the response from this auction house, it's further proof that honesty is something they lack. Had I sold the item for profit, why would I ask for a refund? Some form of compensation was requested, to make up for the fact that this item was sold knowingly in a non-working condition, I feel. The trail of emails suggests this when reading between the lines. The offer of contact details to a third party to assist was simply a ploy I feel. If this was a professional outfit they would have gone further to assist, than simply palming me off to someone else in the hope that I would stop bothering them. It wasn't much to ask the auction house to contact the vendor for any assistance, other than to get a phone number of a third party. If there wasn't an issue the vendor could have assisted further as it wasn't too much to ask. The auction house fail to acknowledge this. Unlike this auction house, I offered a fair compensation gesture to my customer for the item not being in perfect working order. Had I still have been in profit why would I ask for compensation from the auction house? I clearly stated that I was at a loss with this purchase. Come on Atkins Auctions, you can do better than that other than to resort to lies!
