Very lovely gardens and grounds, the only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I struggled to park so I could take a stroll around the grounds, but once I did find parking the walks themselves were lovely and amongst deer and sheep and pheasants... A real wild life dream, and non of it seems bothered by people either. Dotted all along the metal fence are stumps of old trees long cut down and their size is beyond belief. The house itself is very stately and stunning and the entire place as a whole is postcard perfect. The \paths\ however are only tracks on grass, so on rainy days it will be muddy and slippy.

Fun place to walk around and enjoy the countryside. Narrow roads with beautiful views make for a beautiful drive along the way. There is a bird sanctuary there that was fun to walk around and see as well as dragonfly and butterfly's. We were lucky as the weather was gorgeous and found everyone we met very friendly. Great place to visit for the day!

I grew up here and coming back to have a wander round, not much has changed. I love this place. The beach, I remember, it had about a mile of grassland before the sea. That all seems to have gone which was a shock!

Lovely walks around the area especially along the Morecambe Bay coastline. Arneside is a pretty village with good cafés and pubs plus there's a promenade to take in the views.

Nice walk along the coast from the shore in Silverdale to Jenny brown's point and back along hollins lane. Soggy underfoot, but lovely views.
