Came in after visiting the Appomattox Court House Battlefield. The inside is very unassuming and the waitstaff were nothing but full of Southern hospitality. I got the soup and grilled cheese combo with a side of fried okra and onion rings. Everything was tasty and filing. It was the perfect amount. Soup was a full on bowl and I filled up on that alone. It felt like I was at grandmas getting a nice home cooked meal. If you are passing through or looking for a place in the area. I highly recommend it!

Charming, small town place with big flavors! I would highly recommend! Miss Betty was just the friendliest, sweetest lady! Her husband, the cook, was as down to Earth & as friendly as they come! Hubby & I wanted to check them out. Hubby had chicken liver, mashed potatoes, and turnip greens. I chose the pork bbq sandwich with butter beans & french fries. We decided to try dessert too ( which we rarely ever do). The banana pudding was exceptional & the pecan pie was out of this world! Prices were certainly reasonable! We will definitely be doing that again!!!

Delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff. Came with family of 5, everyone enjoyed their meal. Some personal highlights were the Burger, Ribs, Fried Okra, and the Corn Pudding. Biscuits were amazing. Pork Chops were a little dry. Definitely will come back some time.

It's currently open for eat in however I ordered to go while my son ate in. The waitress was friendly and courteous. My son said his food was good and mine looks fantastic! The menu offers a variety of food to choose from. If I lived closer I'd definitely eat here often.
