Gosh I love this place! Contrary to what I had initially thought, this is not a chain restaurant. It's a family-owned restaurant. Best Mexican food I've had out. tastes like my grandma's cooking. Fantastic!!! Staff was also all very friendly too. Any of the enchiladas are a win

This place is so amazing even during the covid nonsense. Stopped through and had the most amazing meal! Very authentic Mexican. Will definitely order again, look forward to eating in as well!
We have been trying to support this restaurant during covid with take out and large tips but our latest potion experience was awful. Food was good as usual but the service was terrible! Left is sitting g for an hour and a half waiting g for our bill. To add insult we never got an apology nor our sopapillas. Sorry, that did it for us . Never again
Friendly, efficient, effective staff. Not crowded. I enjoyed a to go order of Flan custard. Folks can order to go orders to take away, or eat outside on a shaded patio, if indoor dining is not available when you visit. The restaurant has been constitently good for many years. Free, paved, wheelchair accessible parking lot for customers on south side of building. And a very large overflow parking lot is located across 12th Street, on SW corner of Mountain Rd at 12th Street NW. The restaurant never runs out of free parking for customers.
This place was recommended by a friend that traveled here for work. Glad we took him up on his recommendation as the food & service were excellent. The place has seating spaced out to keep social distancing & requires everyone to wear masks until seated. The chips were warm, crisp, & delicious. The red sauce was spicy & the green sauce was mild but tasty. Ended up putting some of the red sauce in the green to give it a little zing. The waiter was very busy between all the tables he waited on but still made sure we got the attention we needed. Went with the waiter's recommendation of the walking tacos dinner with 2 of each kind. Great recommendation! It consisted of 6 tacos filled with meat, had a side of guacamole, fresh lettuce & chunks of tomato, 2 sauces (hot & green sauce), plus choice of 2 of 5 sides.
