A bit pretentious, and the food wasn’t that great. The toughest octopus I’ve tried in Galicia. And the baked cod totally lacked creativity. All in all way too expensive for what it’s offered

We didn't have a reservation and actually wanted to have a small dish of Galician food, with a short stay. The place likely gets rather busy as most tables were reserved. Despite this case, we were greeted in a friendly manner and allowed to pick our meal in our time (needed to study the dishes for our own reasons but the menu is also in English). We enjoyed the food and the service. I'd recommended the Octopus.

The place does serve decent food, but it’s now probably enjoying a reputation gained on a standard it’s failing to keep up. Regardless of their being rather unimaginative, which is not a fault per se, the dishes are hastily prepared, way too big, at times sloppy, when not completely misnamed (a tarte tatin was nothing more than a baked apple, with its skin on (!), on a soggy layer of pastry and with no caramel whatsoever). It all could be forgiven if you were paying for an unpretentious eatery, but the prices point at rather different ambitions.
